Fingerprinting is often part of formal procedures where strict rules apply with respect to different countries. The fingerprinting service of Van Kappel Security BV not only includes the taking of fingerprints but consists of the guidance of the entire process to the extent desired. We take care of the proper handling of the procedure you need to follow up to the secure transmission of documents pertaining to you. With this, we guarantee a unique, highly professional approach with a personal touch.

Most of the requests we receive are for an RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check. Below is a simple explanation/step-by-step plan for obtaining this RCMP statement. Should you need any of the other statements from Canada please contact us, fingerprints@vkss.nl, and we will transfer the necessary information we have and you need. Unfortunately, if you need to submit your biometrics due to immigration to Canada, this is not possible with us. You can recognize this difference because you will be asked to have a passport photo taken combined with the giving of your fingerprints. However, should you need to drop off your biometrics you can contact us and we will direct you to the two nearest locations where this is possible.

Requesting an RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check.
Applying for an RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check is fairly easy. Here, of course, it is important to know which path to follow to request this document. Below we briefly outline a step-by-step process to quickly and easily request an RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check: It is important to note that a statement cannot be requested directly from the RCMP from outside of Canada. The RCMP states that an intermediary company should be engaged which is accredited to receive the fingerprints, digitize them and send them directly electronically to the RCMP.

Step 1:
Choose a company that is accredited to request the RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check. We, as a company, send almost all of our requests to www.reliabilityscreening.ca
This is an extremely reliable company where the application and payment can be made entirely online. Also, as 1 of the few accredited companies in Canada, they have the option to send the statement by email as well.

Step 2:
Start the application online and fill in the requested personal information.
If it is an application for a regular RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check, select it as the reason. If you need the application for and US VISA, choose privacy act as the reason.

Step 3:
After filling out all the information, you will be linked to filling out your address information and payment. After this screen, it is important to turn on the e-mail function and put the hard copy on regular mail (priority mail is also possible, but this makes the request even more expensive, while the e-mail already contains the official file and there is the fastest), a hard copy will still be sent by regular mail.

Step 4:
Complete the application by paying the fee. After payment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail/purchase receipt, among other things. This e-mail should eventually accompany the fingerprint cards.

Step 5:
Have your fingerprints taken at an accredited agency, which performs the work in an office and has all the necessary hygienic measures in place there to perform it in the most careful manner.

Step 6:
VKSS will prepare the fingerprint cards and identity statement for you, in addition they can also ship the documents to Canada with Express mail FedEx. Should you need help with the application in Canada, we can also do this together during the appointment.

Step 7:
Once the company in Canada has received your documents, all you have to do is wait for the result. This takes about 2 weeks, but our experience is that the result is often sent by email after just one week, exceptions there.

Fingerprinting is by appointment only. If you would like to take advantage of this service, we kindly ask you to choose a date and time above. On the next page, fill in all the data required. On the chosen date and time, you will come by our office so we can take your fingerprints. If you prefer to fill out your information at a later time, you can also email fingerprints@vkss.nl first to make an appointment. We need your completed information several hours before the appointment to prepare the fingerprint cards and identity statement.
