For more than 18 years we have been managing the fingerprint service for the private sector, corporate sector, and various national and international governments, as requested by amongst others the American Consulate in Amsterdam.

Taking fingerprints is often part of formal procedures where strict rules apply for different countries. The fingerprint service of Van Kappel Security BV does not only cover the actual taking of fingerprints, but incorporates supervision of the whole process, in cases where this is needed. We take care of the right approach throughout the whole process, up to and including the secured dispatch of the applicable documents. This guarantees a unique, professional service with a personal touch.

The taking of fingerprints is done by prior appointment only. If you wish to use this service, we ask you to complete below questionnaire. After receiving the completed document, we will contact you as soon as possible for an appointment at our office or at a different location.

Taking fingerprints at a different location will be charged at rates based on travel distance and time. We have a mobile dactyloscopic table which ensures we can deliver the same high quality as in our office.

The form and the data will be encrypted and stored carefully for the duration of the whole process, after which the data is removed irrevocably from our systems. For further information regarding data storage please refer to our Privacy Statement.

How to receive an FBI Criminal Background Check?
Having your FBI criminal Background Check done is very easy knowing which steps you have to take and were to start. Hereby we provide you with a short roadmap how to receive your FBI criminal Background Check, quickly and easy.
Since 2017 it’s possible to apply electronic on the FBI website, that saves you a lot of paperwork, the whole application and payment can be done online.

Step 1:
you can apply for the Criminal Background Check, https://www.edo.cjis.gov/#/, fill out your e-mail address in the first blue box on the right side. You will receive an e-mail with a link and pin code.

Step 2:
Open the link in the email you have received and enter the pin code in the new blue box, you will enter the FBI portal.

Step 3:
Fill out the requested personal information on the portal, please be sure that the information matches with the information on your valid passport. Fill out the address information where you want to receive the hard copy results. After that three boxes appear with the following questions:
– Do you want your date of birth included on the declaration = YES
– Do you want to receive e-mail notifications = YES
– Do you want to receive a hard copy of the results = YES

Step 4:
Pay the amount of $18, – by credit card or PayPal. As a result of the payment being received by the FBI you will receive a confirmation e-mail stating that you have paid, and the application is a fact. This email includes also an application number/code. This e-mail needs to be printed and included with the fingerprint cards and declaration of identity.

Step 5:
Have your fingerprints taken at an accredited fingerprinting agency that operates in an office making use of professional equipment and clean sanitary. Make sure that the product containing your personal information and fingerprints as such provided by the fingerprinting agency includes the correct address of the FBI that can be found in the email received after step 4. Sending this package can be done by the agency or yourself. We strongly recommend that the sender uses FedEx by traceable means in order to ensure that delivery takes place asap and with proof of receival by the FBI.

Step 6:
You have an appointment for getting your fingerprints. VKSS will take care of the whole process from there on including the “fingerprint cards” FD 258 and other documents that contain the information you have provided.

Step 7:
After 2 – 5 working days the FBI received your fingerprint cards you will receive the result by email. The hard copy will be sent by regular post and receival takes around the 4 weeks.

If you want to wait filling out your information you can send us an e-mail on fingerprints@vkss.nl to make an appointment, a couple hours before the appointment we need your information filled out at our portal to make the fingerprint cards and declaration of Identity ready.
